I was not hip to Sunny Day Real Estate when they were indeed at their hippest. I was a latecomer, with The Rising Tide being my first exposure, but it all worked out just fine. I saw them on that tour and my friends can attest, I loved it so much that in my giddiness, I offered to buy everyone drinks on the way home. I had been listening to such mellow music that I had forgotten how to rock. Thank you SDRE, for now I rock quite nicely.Well, SDRE now rests on the "influential bands who have since dispersed" shelf and Jeremy Enigk's easily distinguishable voice floats solo on a new record, The Missing Link. Both old fans and new should check out his MySpace, and if you're convinced that solo Enigk is your cup of tea, grab a signed copy of the CD at Insound. Careful...limited supply...and Insound's not so great about taking down the offer exactly when they sell out!
EDIT: Newbury Comics has some too! They're much more reliable too...if it says on the website you're going to get one, you'll get one.
